Steamed Tuna Fish

Description

Fresh or canned tuna steamed with light seasoning for a moist, clean flavor. A healthy option perfect for salads, rice bowls, or a protein-packed meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh tuna steaks 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh ginger root 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Place tuna steaks in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, sherry, vegetable oil, green onions, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove tuna steaks from steamer, and place in a serving dish. Pour sauce over tuna steaks, and serve immediately.
