Description
A rich, creamy seafood dish served over toast or pastry shells, flavored with sherry and spices. Classic and indulgent.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk 1/4 cup dry sherry 1 pinch paprika
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 dash worcestershire sauce
- 2 (6 ounce) cans small shrimp, drained
Directions
- Combine butter, flour and salt in a saucepan. Cook for two minutes. Slowly pour in milk and bring mixture to a boil.
- Stir sherry into the mixture (to taste), paprika, catsup and Worcestershire sauce. Place seafood in the saucepan and heat thoroughly. Serve hot.
