Description
The most common margarita glass is a coupette glass, which has a tall stem and a wide, shallow bowl. However, other types of cocktail glasses, such as a rocks or lowball glass, work just as well.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen peach slices
- 1 tablespoon water
- lime juice, for rimming the glass
- coarse salt, for rimming the glass
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce orange liqueur
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 3/4 ounce agave syrup
- 1/2 ounce heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons peach puree
- peach slice, for garnish
- ice cubes
Directions
- To make the peach puree, add peach slices and water to a blender; puree until smooth. Reserve 2 tablespoons peach puree for the margarita; store remainder for another use.
- Brush the edge of a rocks glass with lime juice; rim with coarse salt. Set aside.
- Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave syrup, heavy cream and 2 tablespoons peach puree to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds or until well-chilled.
- Fill the salt-rimmed rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a peach slice. Serve immediately.
