Description
We use ground beef in this air-fryer hamburger recipe, but you can use any type of ground meat, like ground pork, turkey, chicken, lamb or wild game. If you have a favorite pork burger or turkey burger recipe, feel free to use the seasonings from that recipe. Then, cook the burger patties until a thermometer inserted in the middle of a patty reads 160° (or 165° for ground poultry), flipping halfway through.
Ingredients
- 1-1/3 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- optional toppings: lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, sliced onion, pickles, sliced cheese, ketchup and mustard
Directions
- Gently shape ground beef into four 1-in.-thick patties. Press divot in center of each patty. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°. Sprinkle patties with salt and pepper. Arrange burgers in a single layer in air fryer. Cook until a thermometer reads 160°, 3-5 minutes on each side. Serve on toasted buns with toppings as desired.
